Students and Youth for the Disability Treaty!

Please join in solidarity with 1 billion people with disabilities around the world! 

Want the U.S. government to support disability rights?   You can help in just two steps!

  1. First, sign the youth and student petition for the “Disability Treaty” at http://bit.ly/Youth4CRPD!  People under age 30 can sign. So can students of all ages.
    This asks U.S. Senators to ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).  The CRPD (“Disability Treaty”) is an agreement among countries.  It protects the human rights of people with disabilities.  So far, 138 countries have ratified it.  But the U.S. is behind.  YOU can help change that!
  2. Second, spread the petition far and wide!  Ask friends and classmates to sign!  (Don’t forget to sign it yourself!)

The CRPD was inspired by U.S. law.  This includes the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  U.S. ratification would allow us to more easily…
