Deaf people, and our hearing allies: If you will be in Washington DC on September 24, please consider yourself invited to a rally in support of a deaf-friendly treaty, called the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), that recognizes the inclusion of sign language and deaf culture in society.

  • A new international human rights treaty, called the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), recognizes the inclusion of sign language and deaf culture in society.
  • 134 countries have ratified the CRPD since 2006— but NOT the U.S.!
