I had to let this blog lapse for more than a week while I worked on my
take-home midterm exam. Here’s the blog activity that went on in my
absence in relation to the ADA Restoration Act:

View. This blogger shares (his?/her?) letter to legislators asking for
their support for the ADA Restoration Act.
Press on ADA Restoration Oct 17 ’07, ADA Restoration blog. As the
title says: links to a couple of recent news articles and a couple of
letters to the editor regarding the ADA Restoration Act.
ADA Restoration Act HR 3195 S 1881 Oct 18 ’07, An Unknown View. Urges
readers to take action to support the ADA Restoration Act.

Ability praises the United Spinal Association for using Disability

Policy: Quick Takes Oct 15 ’07, The Arc of North Carolina Policy Blog
promises to soon have an “action alert” to start mobilizing support for
the Senate version of the Restoration Act (S 1881), particularly among
House Sponsors ADA Restoration blog, Oct 14 ’07. Lists the three most
recent sponsors for the house version (HR 3195) of the Restoration Act.
The total number is now up to 225, past the 218 majority needed to pass
the bill in the house (though the senate is a different matter).
on Transcript Availability ADA Restoration blog, Oct 12 ’07.
Congressional hearings were held on the ADA Restoration Act on October 4,
and videos have been made available on line–but with no access to deaf
people. The House Judiciary Committee apparently says they’re working on
a transcript. The ADA Restoration blog is monitoring the situation and
has indicated that they will update readers as soon as they learn more.
