ADA was a good law till it's been watered down, twisted, and mangled beyond it's usefulness. Every time an ADA tooth gets knocked off, the disability communities feels the pain. Now with the ADA as it is, the disability community has been able to get what they need without depending on the ADA. Now with the ADA-RA popping up, its re-opening the old wounds created by the original ADA being weakened and even if it passes and gets signed, it will be watered down again. What's really at issue is whether we should put the disability communities another trip through the same painful roller coaster for whatever it's worth.
